Pharmacy Assistant of the Year Award 2024

Nomination Process

Below is an overview of the nomination process for the Award:

1.  Nominees can either self-nominate or be nominated by a third party such as an employer, colleague, customer or industry representative
2.  Nominees must complete and submit a response to selection criteria
3.  Nominees will be short-listed to take part in a virtual State Workshop (10-15 State Finalists per state will take part in the workshop)
4.  A State Winner is selected from each State Workshop and invited to represent their state in a National Judging Workshop
5.  A face-to-face National Judging Workshop will be held in Sydney on Thursday 5 September
6.  The national winner and runner up will be announced at the Pharmacy Connect/Pharmacy Assistant National Conference 2024 Cocktail Party on Friday 6 September

Prizes

In addition to outstanding training, development and networking opportunities, the award offers the following prizes:

State Finalists

The top 10-15 finalists in each state are invited to participate in a State Workshop, which provides professional development opportunities for participants. All state finalists will receive 50% off PA Conference 2024 registrations.

State Winners

One winner will be selected from each state/ territory and awarded:

• A custom glass trophy
• Exclusive training and development sessions
• National recognition in industry publications such as Retail Pharmacy Assistants, Retail Pharmacy, AJP, ITK, AJP and Pharmacy Daily
• A profile in National Guild electronic and social media platforms
• Return flights and accommodation for attendance at the National Judging Workshop and the Pharmacy Assistant National Conference 2024 (PA2024)
• Complimentary registration for PA2024, which is held in conjunction with the National Judging Workshop
• Invitation to be a judge at the PATY 2025 State Workshop in their state or territory (this will be conducted online via Zoom)

National Winner

One National winner will be selected and awarded:

• A custom glass trophy
• $5,000 cash prize
• Return flights, accommodation and registration to APP2025 on the Gold Coast, including tickets to the Welcome Reception and Street Party
• Return flights, accommodation and registration to PA2025, including tickets to the Welcome Reception and Cocktail Party
• Invitation to participate as a judge at the 2025 National Judging Workshop

National Runner Up

• A custom glass trophy
