For the vast majority of community pharmacies, the dispensary patient is the most valued customer. Patient ‘stickiness’ is the buzzword but many pharmacies struggle to achieve it.
Next month, the Pharmacy Guild of Australia’s past National President, Kos Sclavos AM, will lead a workshop at the 2019 Pharmacy Assistant National Conference (PA2019) to detail practical steps that pharmacy assistants can take to make patients loyal.
Mr Sclavos said pharmacy assistants play a major role in improving patient stickiness.
“Many of the administrative tasks to foster patient stickiness and loyalty in the dispensary can, and should be, facilitated by pharmacy assistants,” Mr Sclavos said.
“This workshop will showcase to your pharmacy assistants the importance of the dispensary in pharmacy and will detail systems to put in place to business patient loyalty.”
This three hour, post-conference workshop titled ‘Building patient loyalty in the dispensary’ will be held on Sunday, 13 October. The workshop is open to both conference delegates and non-conference delegates for a fee of $50 and $80 respectively.
Spaces are limited so register your staff now to ensure your pharmacy is equipped to build loyal dispensary patients.
Pharmacies who send two or more staff under a full registration ticket to PA2019 will receive a free APP2020 registration valued at over $1,000. The full registration fee includes QCPP Approved Refresher Training for pharmacy assistants.
Alternatively, pharmacies can take advantage of a Friday Registration special offer. For $195, pharmacy assistants will receive access to the QCPP Approved Refresher Training, Friday conference sessions (half day), Welcome Reception and Trade Exhibition. This offer is valued at $365.
PA2019 will be held from 11-13 October at the Sofitel Brisbane Central. For more information on this session and to register, visit www.pharmacyassistants.com.
