Danielle Offer from Wizard Pharmacy Kemscott Plaza in Western Australia was awarded the National Glucojel Super Star Award for Australian pharmacy assistants recognising and celebrating exceptional customer service.
The Glucojel Super Star Award is a part of the Pharmacy Assistant of the Year Award (PATY).
Danielle qualified as a State Finalist from 750 PATY nominations prior to winning the National Title during the Pharmacy Assistant National Conference this year.
“It was really overwhelming and I was speechless at first. I honestly didn’t expect to receive the award but it was really nice to be recognised.”
Danielle started as a casual at Wizard Pharmacy nine years ago, she then worked her way into the dispensary and was further promoted to her current position as Customer Service Supervisor.
“I am naturally outgoing and I find it easy to build relationships with my customers. I enjoy meeting people and hearing about their lives – it’s just second nature to me.”
“Winning has motivated me to do that little bit more and inspire my team to value the impact we make on our customers lives and the community. It’s important to understand how we can help people rather than just provide a service,” Danielle said.
General Manager of Gold Cross, Trevor Clarkin said that the Glucojel Super Star Award is a great opportunity to recognise outstanding pharmacy assistants.
“This award recognises and celebrates pharmacy assistants and the fantastic service that they provide to our local communities.”
“On behalf of Gold Cross, I would like to congratulate Danielle on being awarded the 2018 Glucojel Super Star Award,” Mr Clarkin said.
As the 2018 Glucojel Super Star, Danielle won flights, accommodation and registration to the National Pharmacy Assistant Conference held at the Gold Coast in October.
Danielle, recently completed her Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy and is working towards becoming Retail Manger whilst continuing to make a real difference in the lives of her customers.
