Alice Vanderpol

Workplace Trainer/Assessor/The Pharmacy Guild of Australia, Queensland Branch

Alice Vanderpol has worked in pharmacy for eight years, starting out in a small country pharmacy in Victoria before moving to a rural pharmacy in New South Wales, where she undertook a Dispensary skill set and Certificate 3 and 4 in Community Pharmacy Qualifications. During this time, Alice was fortunate to work alongside the first Medspro packing robot in her region, which further opened her eyes to the exciting, ever-changing world of pharmacy. In 2018, Alice was named the National Winner of the Pharmacy Assistant of Year Award, which opened many doors and saw her relocate to Queensland where she is now a Workplace Trainer/Assessor for The Pharmacy Guild of Australia’s Queensland Branch. Education and training have always been an important part of Alice’s role as a pharmacy assistant and she is pleased to now be able to invest her time in the education of other pharmacy assistants.
