    When Jessica Gallagher began to lose her sight at the age of 17 due to a rare degenerative eye disease, she had to let go of her dreams of becoming a professional netballer. At 21, she discovered Paralympic sports and went on to compete in the 2010 Vancouver and 2014 Sochi Winter Paralympics in slalom alpine skiing and giant slalom and in the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Summer Paralympics in long jump, javelin and track cycling. The winner of three Paralympic bronze medals, Jessica also won a gold and silver medal at the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in 2016 and 2019. Jessica is a certified osteopath who works with elite athletes.
