The Pharmacy Assistant of the Year Award is the premier award for Australian pharmacy assistants, recognising and celebrating the passion and knowledge of pharmacy assistants.
This prestigious award recognises the important contribution pharmacy assistants make to the pharmacy industry and is a chance to recognise the passion and knowledge of pharmacy assistants!

To complete your nomination, you will be asked to provide a response to each of the following questions. You may like to prepare your answers before starting to complete this form.
Please respond in 150 words or less to each of the following questions.
- The Guild has been actively negotiating the 7th Community Pharmacy Agreement which will outline the payments that pharmacies will receive for dispensing & providing professional services. What new services would your customers benefit from and why?
- With pharmacists more heavily involved in health services such as vaccinations, how do you see the pharmacy assistant role evolving to provide support to customers and your pharmacists?
- To ensure pharmacy assistants are trained and qualified to support pharmacists utilising their full scope of practice, what new skills and knowledge do you feel would be needed?
- As a pharmacy assistant, what role have you had in ensuring your community is supported during the COVID-19 pandemic?
You also have the ability to upload a short video showcasing how your pharmacy has supported customers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The top 5 videos will be entered into the People’s Choice Video Award where the winner will receive a complimentary APP2021 registration and three night’s accommodation at The Star Gold Coast. Videos should be no longer than 45 seconds in length.
